Clear Compliant Vessels
Compliant mock vessels allow researchers to study devices under different environmental conditions that rigid systems do not. Mock vessels are often used for deployment studies, flow studies, durability testing, and demonstration purposes. Vessels are ordered according to mechanical property or dimensional requirements.
Straight Mock Vessels can be supplied in latex or silicone. The vessels are tested and certified for compliance or wall thickness.

Advantages of silicone:
• Clear
• Durable- ideal for long term durability tests
• Manufactured in house for customization
When contacting us to make an order, we need to know:
• Inner (or outer diameter)
• Pressure at which diameter should be measured
• Compliance range (or wall thickness)
• Length
• Quantity
• Material (latex or silicone)
Vessels of virtually any size and diameter are possible, call us to discuss how we can design mock vessels for your testing needs.

Overview
Using technologies developed by MIT for the rapid prototype industry, Dynatek has developed a unique silicone manufacturing process that allows us to break conventional boundaries and produce a large variety of product for our customers and for the mock artery development and testing community. This process allows for the production of compliant silicone models from an actual patient via an MRI, X-ray, CT scan, or a 3D CAD model that has been designed for a specific need or test. Using mock arteries for durability testing that have been modeled from human vessels with physiologically relevant compliances provides the added value of predicting where problems will arise in clinical trials before lives are adversely affected.

Clear, compliant silicone vessels is a huge advantage to the industry in terms of device success over the long term. Traditional flow models, made of glass or other hard materials, only give part of the picture. Compliant models allow researchers to see how their product will act in different conditions in vivo by simulating both compliance and geometric properties. It also allows researchers to replicate realistic deployment angles. Models can be as simple as a straight tube or as complex as the vasculature of an organ. Compliance ranges within the model can be specified to have a certain area more or less compliant than another area.
Aneurysms or abnormalities can be added or exaggerated as needed for the intended use. Because these vessels are clear and compliant, they have been used for durability testing, deployment studies, flow studies, and training models. They maintain physical and mechanical properties through long-term durability studies and are ideal for use with visual verification techniques using high-speed cameras or imaging equipment. (AAMI, ISO and ASTM recommends verification of device movement with vessel movement.)
Models for demonstrative purposes that have less stringent mechanical property specifications are also available.
